Our Mission

On average, 3 people die every day on our rural roads.

In 2022, nearly 60% of fatalities occured on rural roads.  The percentage of people killed on country roads was more than 10 times higher than on motorways.

Crashes at higher speeds cause more injury due to the force of impace and the car’s kinetic energy combined.

  • At 15mph: A pedestrian would be knocked over and land on their backside.
  • At 23mph: A pedestrian would be thrown in the air and typically land on their head.
  • At 31mph: They would be thrown in the air and up over the car, like a rag doll, before landing on the floor.  With devastating consequences.
  • …and at 60mph?  It’s a horrible thought.

Our Mission

To make the roads of all villages and rural settings in the West Country safer places to use.

For ALL of us!

It’s our belief that by all villages joining forces, as ‘one voice’, we can make a huge difference.  We can collectively demand a blanket speed limit.

So aiding in the prevention of needless deaths due to speeding and careless driving.  In the places we call home.

Our aim is to lobby Government, as one united voice.  To change legislation.  And reduce the speed through all of our villages.

We need YOUR voice so we all can be heard.
